When DaDa Is At Work....

So Drew's new thing while I get ready in the morning is sorting.... yes he dumps out some of mommy's products and puts them back in the boxes! The things mommy does with him, that I'm guessing daddy doesn't in the morning!!

Finger Paints

So we were at the store and I saw the finger paints.. .I picked them up, then put them back, picked them up and then I put them back on the shelf, this went on for a while. I decided that I had the confidence in Drew to be an artist and use finger paint for the first time. He actually did great! of course the first thing he did was stick his fingers in his mouth (notice the green on his lips)! His wonderful smock came from one of daddy's work shirts:)

Cali Weekend

My great hubby purchased me a ticket to California this past weekend for a girls weekend away (and with Dave) in San Diego! It was so great to see everyone and enjoy the 88'!!! We totally took advantage of the nice weather laid out, took up a nice hike, did some shopping, and topped it off with a massage. Andy and Drew had a nice daddy and son weekend at home. I came home to find a new basketball hoop for Drew and he also learned how to gobble like a turkey from daddy!

So Busy

My sister told me about a genius idea of how to keep a toddler busy while mommy makes dinner... letting them play in the sink!! So I will fill the sink up with some water (extra water is always added as Drew knows how to turn it on and off....) and throw some spoons and measuring cups in! Drew becomes very thirsty from all his play and ends up drinking some of the water... and then ends up in his diaper for dinner as you can see it doesn't always make his mouth! Were into what ever we do, he does!! So the other day he refused to sit in his high chair, and had to sit in a big chair next to mommy, AND have a large bowl of cereal!!!

Iowa Christmas

Drew and I headed to Iowa the 7th of Dec and spent a few extra weeks there with Papa and Mimi while Andy was on travel. It was so nice to spend some extra with family and friends. Andy then joined us on the 20th. My sister and her husband Jeremy with their two children Cade and Lucy also arrived on the 20th. As for my brother Brian, read on....
Brian is in the Navy and stationed in California. He had told the rest of the fam that he would not be home for the holidays. Little did everyone know that he would be walking through the door dressed as Santa! Cade and Drew didn't know what to think to have this special visit from Santa. Then Santa became a cool guy when candy canes came into the picture! It was so nice to have everyone home for the holidays!

Cousin Cade & Lucy

While back in Iowa my cousin Cade (almost 3) and Lucy (12 weeks) came to Papa and Mimi's for Christmas all the way from Utah! It was so much fun to see them and Cade and I had a blast together. One of our favorite things to do was go into Papa and Mimi's bedroom and close the door and adults were not allowed in. One time though they did take a peep in and we were putting lotion in. Cade and I only know all of the other fun things we got into:)

This is my aunt Allison she's so much fun and we even like to dress alike!
Mom, dad, and I before church

Ahhh, mommy dressed me so warm that I couldn't even stand up!

This is mommy's doll Amy that she use to play with when she was little. I love to take her for stroller rides and she's just my height. Amy's a little scary looking but we had fun!

Cookies For Santa

Drew enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies for the first time. He also enjoyed taking his spoon and eating out of the bowl full of sprinkles for the topping!

Minnesota

After spending some time in Iowa we headed to Minnesota to visit Andy's family. As we had expected we had tropical temperatures with -30'

Kicking it with my two sister-in-laws
so, Andy's twin brother, Aaron loves to take my camera and take beautiful Glamour Shots of himself.....

For Christmas Andy's grandma get's the boys scratch off tickets and the girls get cash. Andy ended up winning $6 with it, which we went out and bought a Lotto ticket, which we then won $5 with and now were off to buy more tickets with our winnings!!! We'll keep you posted!

Morning cartoons with the cousins!

Ice Fishing

Andy's dad rented an ice house for the week for some ice fishing. The house was very comfortable with seven holes to fish in, sofa, and a stove. Drew had a great time. At first he didn't know what to think of the fish, and by the end he was all over it and touching them.
Ahhh, yes the minnow bucket!

Happy New Years!

We spent bringing in the New Year at Andy's house with a few of his friends and relatives. Next to their house they have what's called a shop, where there's also pool tables! It was a fun time and nice to stay close to home. Good old gramps let the grandkids put a eye tatoo on him!
And a HaPPy NeW YeAr!!!!
