Morning Routine

So I feel like every morning is like the movie Ground Hog Day here with the same routine... However Drew really knows how to make it a little more funny. When I go to brush my teeth, I open the cabinet below and there he finds all of my hair stuff, a favorite of his is the head band! He digs for it and leaves the bathroom puts it in his hair and goes and plays in his room! I then have to find the head band to put in the cabinet for the next morning!!! Andy is so proud of his son that loves to wear head bands!!!

Day At The Beach

On Sunday their was a surfing competition at the beach. Drew loved playing in the waves and with his bucket and shovel. Andy was busy digging a hole and trying to make a trap so Drew would fall in;)

Outer Banks

Today we took a road trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Drew flew his first kite!!

PeTTing ZoO!

Drew totally dug a petting zoo that we went to last weekend! We are really looking forward to all the fall activites the farm will be holding!

Hike

We took a nice hike this past weekend here in Virginia Beach. There's a really nice state park about 15min away.

8K Mud Run

This past weekend we did a 8K (5 mile) Mud Run. So we thought that this would be a nice little run through a few small puddles.. UM NO.... We started this small little race through about 8 inches of Sand for about three miles, ran through mud holes (that part was fun) and then their were about 12 different MOUNTAINS full of deep sand that you had to climb!!! Our friend Chad was on our team as well!!! We had a blast!

I know there has to be more dirt piles around here
Now if I can just figure out how to get this fence open into the neighbors backyard, they have a huge garden full of dirt.....

Baby Benny

A BIG kiss for baby Benny!!

So mommy here feels that every little child needs a baby, yap even boys!! Andy wasn't to sure about this until I let him name the doll after his buddy Benny that was stationed with us in Port Hueneme and is also from MN!! Drew loves his baby Benny and it's so strange how they can be so young and are gentle with the baby. O.K well sometimes gentle...

Aiden Visits!!

On Monday my friend from High School Emily and her boy (16months) Aiden came to visit!! Emily had Aiden last summer while her husband was deployed like Drew and I and we both went back home to Iowa for the summer!! It was so great to see them and the boys had a lot of fun playing together! Yes, bubbles inside.. BUT it was storming outside, desperate measures for one year olds!!

Chuck E Cheese!

We were daring on Wednesday night and took the boys to Chuck E Cheese! They had a great time and loved the dancing puppets!!! Drew wasn't to sure about the helicopter that would go up in the air!!
OK so their was this huge monster truck that we thought the boys would love, NOPE bloody murder screaming. Drew had the steering wheel to hang on to at least and poor Aiden was sliding everywhere! Emily and I couldn't help but laugh and I mean HARD!!
After the monster truck experience, Drew was a little nervous of everything else....

MMMM!

So we think that we have a lefty, just like his big cousin Cade!! Drew has now mastered the spoon!! OK well sort of, some still gets all over him and his mouth....
Andy has been on travel for the past two weeks, so it was time to get out card board Andy. Drew will go up to him multiple times during the day, yell dada at him, drag him around, and today he was bending his head so I had to tell him that dada was going night night as his head was ready to snap off!!!

Swim Time!

Little did we know what the summers would be like here in Virginia... HOT!!!!!! The temp for the past week has been in the high 90's and with the heat index it feels like 108+, it's SICK!!!! So we cool off by going to the pool. Drew loves sitting on the edge and having us count to 3 until he can get in. And of course then we spend the rest of our 45 min at the pool going down the slide over and over AND over again!!
